Watkins, a native to North Carolina, holds a BFA in Interior Design from the University of Georgia, and is a graduate of the Winterthur Institute in Wilmington, Delaware. With over 20 years in the field, working with award winning and residential and commercial firms in Washington, DC and Charlotte, NC, Mary Elfreth launched her own firm in 2014. 

Mary Elfreth is a seasoned interior designer with a transitional style where modern compliments tradition. Her projects are filled with color, optimism, and luxury, creating a curated and comfortable environment. Watkins Interiors works closely with homeowners, architects, and contractors on remodels, and custom-built homes to bring a shared vision to reality. Her approach is a thoughtful collaboration with clients to establish a schedule, a project budget, a scope of work and an understanding of their practical needs and their aesthetic inspirations.
